Libya-Analysis® helps clients understand Libya. We are a boutique consultancy with years of experience producing nuanced, evidence-based research, analysis, and forecasting on Libya. Our strategic insights are used by multinational companies, international organisations, and democratic governments to make sense of the latest political, economic, commercial, and security developments in Libya.
Libya Security Monitor (LSM) is Eye on ISIS’s flagship project, a not-for-profit English-language repository of non-partisan, cross-checked information on security developments in Libya. It tracks the activities of Libya’s armed groups and political actors, the Islamic State’s offshoot in Libya as well as the other Libyan jihadi movements. The LSM is a valuable resource for governments, think-tanks, and businesses concerned with jihadi threats and their evolution in Libya.
The NATO & the Global Enduring Disorder Project and the forthcoming ‘Disorder’ podcast unpack and think about solutions to today’s era of Global Disorder. Gone is the time of coherent international coordination. Instead, with the rise of neo-populism, trade wars, inflation, anti-migration policies, and widespread popular fears over the delegation of sovereignty to the supranational level, major world leaders have sought to promote the ‘Enduring Disorder’ and ride its whirlwind.
Libya and the Global Enduring Disorder (Oxford/Hurst, 2021) shows how even the momentous and tragic events in Libya are a microcosm of our current geopolitical era - the Global Enduring Disorder. The book marshals a range of evidence to suggest that multibillion dollar companies operating in Libya do not necessarily seek to promote stability or increase shareholder returns, rather they act like monopolists seeking to block new entrants to their niche.
